I'm not sure if or how this ties in to your line, but here is my family line:
Elizabeth Bennett married John Dyke in Weymouth, Dorset, UK
17 Sep 1865. Her father was Thomas Bennett. She was only 20 at the time, and came to Meigs County, Ohio with husband and two sons (Walter and Arthur) in 1869. She had three more children and died in state of Washington between 1872-75.
I really wonder at two Elizabeth Bennetts marrying two different Dyke men from Dorset?? Let me know if you find out anything more. We may be related somehow.
