I have researched my husband's family tree. His greatgrandfather was Benjamin Dyke born Madeley 1845. According to my notes Benjamin has a brother called George, born Madeley c1841. Their father was called Benjamin (we will call him Benjamin Senior). Benjamin Senior was married twice. Benjamin Snr was born in Gnosall. Beyond that I have no concrete evidence but using the IGI and working on assumptions, I can go back to 1670. If interested in seeing my notes, please contact me via e-mail
