Hi Patricia
Thanks for the info and thanks for the good wishes.
Yes it has muddled part of it, but it has cleared up one mystery.
With regard to the birth of Elizabeth and Sylvanus in 1825 and 1826 Parents William and ??? Pity the records are so bad that they are unreadable. They are on the 1841 census with George and Tabitha, together with another Elizabeth.I couldn't work out why he had two daughters called Elizabeth. It was the Sylvanus born 1826 who married Elizabeth Bennett and I thought for a moment maybe.............but then I realised that they were too young to have married even in those days.Besides which their son Thomas George was not born until 1846.Just realised Thomas George was named after both grandparents.
So you have helped me fit another generation inbetween George and Tabitha and Sylvanus.
The William born 1835.I have not been able to fit him in anywhere. He could have been the son of William and therefore Sylvanus 2's brother or the son of James or Sylvanus 1.But keeping him on file to see if it all fits into place sometime.
I don't think the William and Hannah fit into the family in any way though.
Thank you once again for your help and if I come across any stray Milborne Port or Stalbridge Dykes I will let you know.
Regards
William
