Thank-you for the lead.
Have started on the parish records. Thank goodness these are an easier read.

Richard Sampson alias Cheppet and Margaret Dycke were married the 25th of Januaire 1562.

Mary Dick (widow) of the parish of Stalbridge was buried feb. 8th 1695/6.

Lydia daughter of John and Susannah Dyke was baptized Feb. 11th, 1761.

Lydia, daughter of John and Susanna Dyte was buried June 19th, 1761.

May daughter of John and Hannah Dike (from Candle Purse) was baptized Jany 10th 1765.

Charles (base born) of Susannah Dyke was baptized Sept. 11th, 1800.

John son of George and Tabitha Dyke was baptized July 4th 1801

Sylvanus son of George and Tabytha Dyke was baptized Feb. 5th 1804.

James son of George and Tibitha Dyke was baptized Feb. 1st, 1807.

Silas, son of George and Tabitha Dyke was baptized Dec. 27th, 1809.

I will be going back next week. I understand that Tabitha's maiden name was Hyde. Are you aware of what her parents name or any other indication of a family name was?
There are several Hyde's and would be willing to look for those also, if you wish.
Pat
