Thank you for replying. I knew it was a long shot when I actually wrote to you. William in the 1871 is definitely not anything to do with our family. I have seen several Dyke families in Milborne Port who are not related.

I have looked at this over and over again since I first found them and the only thing I know for sure is that Elizabeth and Sylvanus Dyke's father died early and they went to live with their Grandparents. George and Tabitha. Plus your information that the father's name was almost illegible but it looked like William.

Please could you tell me where you hire these films from. I hope it is not from an LDS family history centre as the one near us is supposed to be open each Tuesday morning, but is never open when I have tried. I even try to ring before going, but they NEVER answer the 'phone.
