Charnock Eads was born 1815 in Fayette Co, Ky, son of Jonathan & Cary (Self) Eads. He came to Morgan Co, Il by 1838. There he married Sarah Ann Taylor, daughter of William & Mary Ann (Ragan) Taylor. In 1850 the family is listed in the Morgan (Il) federal census. Charnock & Sarah had a family of eleven children born between 1839 and 1863. They were George (1839-1917) William (1841-1902)Mary (1843, m. Joseph Haxton) John T.(1846-1919) Susan (1847-c1849) Martha (1850, m. Rolly Pollins) Lucy Jane (1852, m. Joseph L. White) Robert (1853-1909) Jonathan (1858) Emily F. (1861, m. John Hughett) and Louisa (1863, m1. G. Burracker; m2. A. Weakley). In 1856 the family is found in the Wapello Co, Iowa state census. In 1859/60 the family resided in Douglass Co, Kansas. Charnock died 1880 in Cass Co, Il and was interred there in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Sarah Taylor Eads died 1898 in Jacksonville, Il at the Hughett home. She is buried in the Jacksonville City Cemetery. George died in Christian Co, Mo. The Whites are the ancestors of my wife and resided in Cass County, Il. John T. Eads died in LaSalle Co, Il. Most of the other children died in Morgan County, Il. I welcome contact with those researching this family.
