Hi David:

I have an EADES family in Alabama. Moses Eades married
Frances Watson (married name RAY) about 1840 in Calhoun Co,
Alabama.

He joined the Confederate Forces in Shepherd's Unit. He lived through the war.

He is in Randolph County 1850 and 1860 and then in 1870 he is in Calhoun County, and I think he dies there after the 1870 census. Frances lives till 1874 in Calhoun Co.,AL.

I am looking for a death certificate or something about him that may give me a clue to his parents. I have heard he is the son of Rueben EADES of the family from Albemarle Co.,VA.

My ancestor is the daughter of Moses and Frances, Laura Victoria, married to James W. CARTER.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Kathy Clifton
