Richard Eagan/Egan, IRL>NY>IL, 1851-1860

The Richard Eagan family arrived in NY by ship on June 3 1851. They were originally from Ireland. Richard (aged 28) and his wife Mary (26) had five children with them: Elisa(8), William (6), Maria (3), James (2), and Sarah-Ann(.06), my great-great-grandmother.

They applied for citizenship in Oswego County , NY. By 1860, they were living in Ottawa (Lasalle County) IL. They have four more children Susan (7), Richard (5), Thomas (3), and John (1). Susan was apparently born in NY, the rest in Illinois.

I can never find this family again. My great-great-grandmother Sarah-Ann lived the rest of her life in Ottawa, but the rest of them apparently vanished.

Do these people look familiar to anyone?
