Do you have this James Eagan?
I had found elsewhere an internet transcription of the Newport 1880 census. It shows James Aegan, son in law, age 26 (that may be a typo, he may have been 36 considering the age of his wife), born RI in the home of Timothy Sullivan age 60, born IRE and Hannah, Timothy's wife, age 55, born IRE.
Also in the home is Margaret Aegan, daughter of Timothy and Hannah age 35 born IRE.

A transcription of a stone from St. Mary's Cemetery in Newport states:
James Egan, died Jan. 1, 1910, aged 61 years
may his soul rest in peace.
his wife Margaret Sullivan, born Jan. 30, 1854
died Nov. 30, 1899
may her soul rest in peace.

I think that this Timothy Sullivan, father of Margaret Sullivan, may be brother to my ancestor Daniel Sullivan, and am looking for any relatives of this family to share info. Daniel and my Timothy were from Cahersiveen, Kerry.
