Capt. John Eager, Ithaca, NY, early 1800s

Hi! Can anyone provide any information on a Capt. John Eager, recorded as a silversmith working in Goshen, NY, c.1807, and Ithaca, NY, c.1808?

He and his wife are buried in the old city cemetery here. The stones are still standing, amidst poison ivy, but the surfaces are spalling. According to his gravestone he was born February 1783, died 14 April 1814.

Unfortunately I have been able to find no other record of him here. Any help greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Fred
