Looking for information on Germain or Germaine Eager, from Co Wicklow. The name appeared in the family when William (Billy) Eager married Katherine Finlay, in 1806, being a commorative name on the Finlay side. Apparently a child was born when his father was fighting in France with the British Army, and he was called Germain(e), either after the saint or a place, I don't know.
Since appearing in the Eager family, every generation has had a child called Germain.
Does anybody have any further information, I have some which I'm willing to share if it is going to be of any help
