Eager, Lewis b. VT abt. 1828-1831 d. CA

My gg-grandfather, Lewis Eager was born in VT abt. 1828/1831 and married Lydia Wiltfong in Mason City, IA, in July 1860. They had three childrem, Jessie F., Hiland (Harry - my g-grandfather) and Arthur L.
I need help locating his ancestry, his father/mother, etc.. There are many Eagers in VT but I have been able to exactly match Lewis to anyone.
I'd appreciate any help.
