I'm looking for information on the family of William Eagerton, Jr. during their time in Marion County, SC.
William's children include William, born 1802, Henry Lewis Edgerton, born April 5 1804, and Mary Ann Edgerton born 15 Oct 1808. There are other people in the home in 1850 who may be the children of William and Alice, but the youngest could be the children of one of the sons. They include Charles Munnerlyn Edgerton, born 29 April 1818, Ann Munnerlyn Edgerton, born 29 May 1822, Robert Munnerlyn Edgerton, born 26 Sept 1824, Mary A E Edgerton, about 1826, James M Edgerton, dob unknown, and William C edgerton, about 1834.
The Edgertons, and other members of the Munnerlyn and Sweet families migrated to Gadsden County Florida about 1830. The area where they lived became part of Liberty County, Florida about 1850.
William, Jr died there 28 April 1855, and his wife, Mary Ann Munnerlyn died 07 Dec 1857. Henry Lewis Edgerton died 28 March 1862. No marriage records for the older sons have been located, so they were either unmarried or perhaps were married in Marion County.
My ancestor is Ann Munnerlyn Edgerton. I'm trying to determine is she is William's daughter (I think so) or granddaughter.
