I believe a portion of the family you're looking for migrated to Desoto County FL and parts of Tennessee in the late 1800's. The family was heavily involved in the Civil War and its likely a few may have died during it. The other problem with tracking information on this family is that some of it has changed their name from Eagerton to Edgerton which makes it a bit harder to trust what you do find. I do know that some of my family was originally from SC so I will ask them in more detail to see if its the same set of Eagerton's.
