Colin I am an Eagle descendent, (newly discovered) and have just today received info from England that my Eagle family was in "parish of St. Martin, Leicester". Have scant info but will keep searching...my 4X great grandfather was John Eagle of Leicester, his daughter Frances Hitchcock Eagle married William Palmer in 1844. My Palmer's were from Nottingham. Possibility that Frances' mother's surname was Hitchcock, possible first name Elizabeth. Please write if you think any connections.
