James; there are 2 George Eagle in NC at this time, father and son. George Eagle the younger was the father of Solomon. His spouse Susannah Mary Halterman/Haldeman. Both George and Mary born in Pennsylvania. George (2) on 25 Dec 1781 in Lancaster County Pa and Mary in 1782 also Lancaster Co. They married about 1802. Their children; Leah 1802, Daniel 1805, Mary/Polly 1807, Elizabeth 22 Aug 1809, Solomon 13 June 1811, John 1813, George Adam 25 Dec 1816, Katie Anna and * Sophia 18 May 1818(Sophia is my ancestress, Married Jesse Hodge), Noah 14 July 1819, Moses Wiley 26 October 1821, Anna Maria 22 June 1823.
George Eagle,Sr. was married to Mary Heilig. this George born in 1752 Lancaster Co.,Pa, Mary born about same time, Germantown, Pa. They married approximately 1775-76. children; Mary 1776, Margaret 1778, George 1781, all Lancaster Co., Pa.John 20 Jan 1790, John Peter 2 Oct 1793 another George 1797 and Anna Margaret 1800, last 4 in Rowan Co.,NC. They attended Organ Lutheran Church. George died about 1820 in Rowan Co. Wife Mary died about 1825 in Cabarras co. NC.George served in the Rev. War in McKee's company from North Carolina. discharged 10 April 1782. Source; Roster of Soldiers from North Carolina in the American Revolution. George,Sr. son of Adam Egle,grandson of Marcus Egle who came to Pennsylvania in 1749 on the Bilander Vernon from Switzerland.
George Eagle(2) and many of his children came by wagon train to Newton Co. Mo. about 1854.
