Luther's (Luther Lawrence Eagle) mother was Rachel (either O. or C. - I rather think O for Ophelia) Cox. I found in the 1880 census a Joseph L. Eagle and Rachel with Lucy L (b. 1879 but not found in other census), Luther, Emmett and Gertrude. According to Rachel's obit,two children died young - either in infancy or as toddlers. The surviving children were Luther, Emmett and Gertrude. Luther was born 12 March 1879 and died 13 December 1949. Luther did work for the U. S. Post Office. If I remember correctly, his route was in the area of the old Camp Robinson.
