Grandison EAGLES b1838 Nova Scotia, m Elizabeth TAYLOR b1842

I am looking for parents and additional information on my direct line EAGLES. Grandison was born abt 1838 in Nova Scotia. That is all I know about him. He married Elizabeth TAYLOR b abt 1842 in Nova Scotia. They had a daughter, Viola May EAGLES, born 25Apr1864 who died 1948 in Compton, Calif. I got her parents info off her death certificate.
My wife has a GRANDISON line from Canada. Is there a connection between EAGLES and GRANDISONS? Any help greatly appreciated.
