I don't know whether there's a connection or not, but my 2nd great grandmother was Hetty Woodruff Eagles, b. 26 Sep 1823 in Essex Co, NJ; d. 17 Feb 1883 in St. Clair Co, MI. She married my 2nd great grandfather, John Lewis Agens (1821-1897) 7 Nov 1843 in Essex Co, NJ.
I have absolutely no information on the Eagles family and its origins, and would be grateful for any further tips you may have.
