I too am a descendent of Robert Eglesham & Helen Maitland. My GG Grandmother was Jean Eglesham, daughter of James Eglesham and Jean Brown and I have a lot of info on her and her descendents from her first marriage to my GG Grandfather, William Davidson. They had two sons but only one, William, survived infancy. William (Senior) appears to have died between 1846 and 1851 but I can find no definite record as its before the 1855 threshold and the OPR death records for Girvan seem to have disappeared. She went on to marry another twice but I do not know yet if she had any children to these husbands
