I was interested to see that 'Fiona' had a great grandfather named Samuel Eaglesham. My grandfather was a Samuel Eaglesham, working in a cotton mill in Paisley Scotland in 1902, when his son (my father) Joseph Eaglesham was born. Sam's wife was named Annie Lindsay. I understand that Sam died fairly young, as my father told me he only knew him slightly. Also, I am not aware of my father having any siblings fathered by Sam. Joseph went on to a career as a British Music Hall performer for many years, where he met my mother. In 1955 we emigrated to Canada when I was a small boy. My name is Lindsay George Eaglesham.
Could this be the same Sam Eaglesham Fiona is referring to? Please get back to me if you have any comment on this information.
