Your Christopher Ed Eaker was actually b. 19 Mar 1843 in Cape Girardeau (now Bollinger) Co. MO, the son of John and Elizabeth Huffman Eaker. His birth is registered in his grandfather Christian's Bible Record. He left home during the Civil War and became a Confederate Spy, and did not return home until July 1911 to visit. In "The Banner Press, Marble Hill, MO, July 13, 1911 is a complete account of Christopher's saga and his visit to MO to visit his relatives. When he left there he was planning to visit some of his children in KY before returning to AR.

For your lineage in the Eaker family you need to see: "The Shoe Cobbler's Kin, A genealogy of The Peter Eaker, Sr. Family, Volumes I & II" and "German speaking People West of The Catawba River IN NC 1750-1800".
This later book has your Eaker origins back into NC, PA Alsace and Switzerland.
