Hi Sheila,
What part of MO. do you live? I live in Georgia, but my Dad's brothers and sisters still live in MO. near Jackson, Cape Girardeau. Actually we had a big family reunion there back in August. What helped was an aunt who spent most of her life researching the Eakers. her name Lorena Shell Eaker, but if you search she wrote two books The Shoe Cobblers Kin and German Speaking People West of Catawba River. Are roots strated in North Carolina back in 1741 When Peter Eaker Sr came over. I'll be glad to send you anything I have, just let me know. If you search on Lorena she cna probably help you out a lot.
