Your Jefferson Davis Eaker was son of Thomas B. Eaker and Serena McNeil. Thomas B. was son of John and Mary Harriett Bennett Eaker. John was son of Michael and Polly armstrong Eaker. Much can be found on them in Volume I of The Shoe Cobbler's Kin, a genealogy of The Peter Eaker, Sr. Family.
Michael was son of John Eaker who was sn of Peter Eaker, Jr.There is more on the family in Volume II (which is not a revision but all new material that came in after Volume I was pulished in 1976).
These books are still available along with German Speaking People West of The Catawba River in NC 1750-1800 which gives the Eaker origins in Alsace and Switzerland. Email me privately if you want more information
