Ida C. Eaker married James Daniel Scarbrough, 7 Feb. 1890, Erath Co., TX.
James Daniel & Ida C.(Cornelia, I think) are listed in the 1900 McCullouch, TX census, fam. #176.
James Scarbrough, age 33, b. Jan. 1867, TX
Ida C. " , age 26, b. Sept. 1873, ARK
Omar " , son,age 9, b. Nov. 1890, TX
Ola " , dau,age 7, b. Oct. 1892, TX
James " , son, age 6, b. Mar. 1894, TX
Owen " , son, age 2, b. Dec. 1897, TX
My husband is descended from Ola Anne Scarbrough, listed above. Ola Anne married Solon Reid Walker in Bryan Co., OK. Solon & Ola moved to Alabama where Solon was originally from. Their children are: Solon, Jr., Hayden, Woodfin, Weldon, Bobby, Dorothy Jean & Juanita(my hubby's mother).
I was told by my hubby's uncle that "Ira C. Eaker" was their cousin. From info I have seen on this forum & from familysearch.org, I have been able to piece together a fair picture of the Eaker line. I found that Ira C. Eaker's father, Young, was a brother to Ida C. Eaker, and is, indeed a cousin-a famous cousin, at that.
I would appreciate any help with this Eaker/Scarbrough family.
