Elaine, I am sorry that I do not have any information on the Eakes family. My husband's ancestor was Washington Ledbetter, whose daughter, Eliza was born in Greene County, GA in 1802. After she married Daniel Clifton in Greene County, GA in 1826, the name Ledbetter drops out of his line, and Clifton takes over. Sorry that I cannot help you on the Eakes line. Evelyn Clifton
