Barbara, I never knew of any of the girl's marriages except my grandmother Margaret Ekes. Nobody ever knew anything about the Ekes family. Our family tradition was that all of the older girls died of dropsy at a very early age. If you are correct, then maybe some of them could have been married before they died. Never knew any of the others went to Texas. My grandfather had an older brother, John Robertson, that went back to Mississippi after Ezekiel Ekes died. He supposedly married his first cousin who's name happened to be Nancy Ekes. She had TB, so he brought her back to Texas to a drier climate. She died 2 years after they were married. They had one child named Ethel. Seems like William Ekes married Mary Carter. Never could find them in 1880 census. They stayed on the old Ekes plantation in Neshoba County, Ms. Sorry this does not help much. I never could find proof of my Margaret and B.T. Robertson marriage in MS. They left there after the Civil War. So I am also stumped on my family line.
