I also am looking for information on Henderson Ekes/Eaks. He had a daughter Nancy E. I am trying to find out if this nancy e is my nancy (gg-grandma). My nancy had a son and he spelt her last name as Eaks. My nancy married a william thomas barnett in kemper county and had at least one child (my g-granpa william h barnett) there before moving to where the family thinks is Neshoba county. I know there is a Henderson Ekes listed on the 1860 and 1870 Kemper county census (MS).
The census also says that he and his wife Rose Ann (McKinney -- maiden name) were born in south carolina. There is also a Henderson Eaks that enlisted in the 26th infantry Mississippi regiment CSA.If anyone has any information that would be wonderful. Thanks.

Delita
