This is NOT entirely documented but Timothy Eakes (b. ca 1765 and who I consider to be a son of Zachariah (b abt 1740) according to my records, married Susannah Parish and had a son named ALFRED born in SOUTH Carolina (I think it was Pickens County). Alfred married Nancy Pilgrim. THEIR SON Henderson named a son Alfred H. This Alfred H. died in Neshoba County, Mississippi 1860 - Neshoba County MS Census 10 761 Ekes Henderson 42 M farmer 300 347 SC 11 Rosanna 32 F SC C 12 Nancy E.12 Ala 13 Zachariah T. 10 Ala 14 Thomas J. 8 Ala Alfred H. 6 Ala 16 William H. 2 Ms 17 McKinny Sarah A. 15 F asst. hk Ms (Note Henderson married Rosanna Masora MCKINNEY so the girl Sarah age 15 is probably her daughter, though it could be a younger sister. Again, use this as a pointer and not to be taken as totally accurate. Watch for a different spelling in the SC group... They seem to lean to Ekes (leaving out the A). I guess I am wondering if your EAKES line came via SC through the southern route (GA and Mississippi) before coming to Tennessee??? Then this may not be yours at all. WAR of 1812 pensioners.
