Thanks for posting!
I've got a Samuel Eakin in Bond County, Illinois (b. 1800, d. 1862). That's all the info I have for him, but I know he was the son and grandson of "Samuel"s. Apparently, he was born in Washington Co., VA.
I've also got a bunch of Eakin ancestors in Perry Co, IL, and Jackson County, IL., and would love more info about them, if anyone can help.
