Does anyone know how or if this Cowan/Eakin family relates to the Eakin family found in Holes Co.,Ms. ???
I know that the Jane, w/o John W. Cowan, was the daughter of John Eakin [b. abt. 1761 Waterside Ireland] and Jane Rodgers [b. 1770 Derry Ireland]found in Bedford Co.,Tn.
There is a Eakin family in Holmes Co.,Ms. that married into the Nevels family.
Would like to connect these Eakin families to the Attala Co.,Ms. Eakin family that also came from Ireland. This family was William Eakin [b. 1790 Ireland] married Amy Bishop [b.S.C.] in 1804 in Davidson Co.,Tn. Where we also find a Moses Eakin in 1806.
