My Grandfather was Francis EAKIN HILLER, born Augsburg Bavaria Germany. EAKIN is usually an Irish surname, so probably was something that sounded like EAKIN? Would anyone have any ideas what the heck it could be? Possible grandfather was not who he said he was. There were most definately HILLERS in Augsburg tho'. Grandfather lived in West Virginia from about 1900 to 1920 that I know of.
