Hi Ryan. Yes, I am very interested in the Eakins and what you have of them. Even pictures of the tombstones of all the Eakins. They all lived in Botetorte Co. Va. Samuel was my 4th gr. Grandfather, 3rd gr grandfather Samuel II, 2nd gr grandfather Samuel III married my Gr. Grandmother, Mariah Holt. They had 6 children, one of which was gr grandma Emma Florence Eakin married John Barry Cook who had my grandmother Elsie Mariah Cook who married Othel Harrison Jones who had my mother Geneva Marie Jones who married Floyd Leslie Tirey who had me, Anna Marie Tirey Collins. Now I have just given you one member out of each generation, but there are loads and loads of children and grandchildren from these people down through the generations. Matter of fact when 3rd Samuel's wife Eleanor Allen died in Botetourt, he loaded up his 6 children and went by covered wagon to Fayette Co. IL. There he met and married Catherine Ruskin and they had 8 more children. I am down the Samuel/Catherine line, and I have found several from the Samuel/Eleanor line. But the information from Botetorte is scant and I have a feeling some of it isn't fact. If you could send the pictures by jpeg, I would be more than happy. Love to have any documentary information also. By the way. We are having an Eakin, Eyman, Cook, Lewis, Jones family reunion in Greenville, IL. on Sept. 10, at the Jaycee's park in downtown Greenville, IL. It will be a pot luck. You are welcome to come. Samuel was the big daddy of all of us. All these other names have intermarried with the Eakins several times through the years. Anna
