Hi Judith,
My Grandfather is a William Eakin, from ,Stark county Ohio. His father was a Nataniel Eakin, son of a James Eakin,whom, was married to a Hannah McWilliams. Is this any connectiohn to your James? I know thta my family was origionally from PA, and before that either Scotland or Ireland. Best regards, Kelly Crisp.
