I have just began my Wilkerson family research and been so lucky right off the bat. I have not proven anything I found yet but it may be helpful to your research to check it out too?

Joseph Eakins married Isabella Walcup. They were said to have both came from County Tyrone Ireland to Charleston, SC then on to Rutherford Co NC. Finally ended up in Lincoln Co TN. They had 6 children;
John, Samuel, Thomas, George who married Sarah Melton, Sarah/Sally who married Samuel Biggerstaff, and my ancestor, Isabella who married Lewis Wilkerson. They had at least three children; Eliza K. Wilkerson b Jan 12, 1823- my ancestor, Catherine Wilkerson b ca 1825 m Austin Eslick and Rosanah Wilkerson who had 3 children and was listed in 1850 census still at home and inherited her parents home. I have not found a husband for her.

Isabella Wilkerson and husband, William Clark White , were my great great grandparents. I have their line down to me.
Let me know if you can add to above info to help me further please. Ginny Keefer VLKeefer@comcast.net
