Dave -- I may be off base here, but I generally have not discriminated as to the spelling of my family's Aikins surname -- the item that caught my interest was your mention of Muskingum County. My original immigrant ancestor (afaik) was Robert Aikins, who moved from Pennsylvania to Belmont County, OH about 1795 and to Morgan County, OH about 1808, with numerous family members scattered about the Washington / Morgan / Muskingum Counties area, most of whom had moved westward by 1860. I do not know of a Rachel or Clemens in our family, but there is always more to be learned in this genealogical journey. If you see any connection to my family, I would appreciate hearing from you: http://genforum.genealogy.com/aikins/messages/204.html Thank you, Bill Strickland Notify Administrator about this message?
