I have tried unsuccessfully many times to research the Eakle family name and was pleased to see your message! My mother was Leah Isabell Eakle (1917-1973); my grandfather was William Clayton Eakle; his father was Josiah Eakle, all of Hagerstown, Maryland. Josiah's wife was Mary, and they had about 12 children. I may be able to find old family bible copies showing their names. Do you have any interest in them? I have no information on anyone farther back than Josiah and Mary. Does anyone?
