I know this has to be him... My husbands gg grandfather was named Thomas O. Earhart. He would have been 37 years of age in 1897. He was born in Texas, but he and his family traveled and worked in several different places. My husbands grandmother in 90 years old. She met her grandfather when she was young and even lived with him for a while... I believe that she may be able to say for sure if it was her paternal grandfather.
