EARHART - Claiborne & Rosa/Rosella in OK/TX
Posted by: Valorie Gollahon (ID *****2233) Date: October 27, 2003 at 03:05:17

I am looking for information on Rosa/Rosella/Rosie EARHART, born abt. 1902 in Antlers, OK, married to Napoleon B. MANN. She died abt. 1944/45 in Antlers. Have been unable to locate her burial place and definite dates of birth/death. She had a cousin, Claiborne EARHART, who also lived in/around Tulsa or Antlers, OK. Census record for Antlers, OK, 1920, indicates Rosa's parents were from Texas. Claiborne possibly son of B.D. (Benjamin) EARHART & Mary E. Varner, of Texas.

Family legend says Rosa/Rosella/Rosie was a full-blooded Indian and we are trying to prove or disprove, as well as locate her parents and lineage. It's possible her parents were originally from Louisiana and later moved to Texas.

Hope someone has a little more information on this elusive family. Thanks.
