help with Earharts-Davidson Co, TN

Hi there!

I have just started doing research on the Earhart family that lived mostly in the Davidson County-TN area.
I am going to explain all the people I am coming across and maybe someone can understand my confusion and help me straighten it out.

I came across just a little bit of info regarding Philip Earhart moving to Davidson Co-TN from NC. He had a son named Jacob Earhart(Airhart)
Jacob first married a woman named Sally Strong. They had a handful of children, Adam, Thomas, Abner. ( All I have found so far)
I believe that Jacob Earhart married again, and in the 1850 Davidson County census, he is listed with a set of new children.
Milger, Michl., and Wade H.
So I started looking for Wade in more censuses. I came across him living in different households, and then I came across him living with William and Rebecca Pulley. I wasnt sure why he was under that household until I found him in a later census just living with Rebecca, and she is head of the household and he is listed as her son. His birth is between 1840-1843. So then I just did a random search on Wade Earhart on and I came across a message stating that Rebecca Umphreys had married a Wade Earhart, So this has really had confused me.
I also found a Hampton Earhart under the household of William and Rebecca Pulley, and so I know these people are all connected but I think I might be missing a couple of people. I was wondering if Wade Earhart and Jacob Earhart are the same people.? I cannot find a Wade Earhart Sr. anywhere. So I am hoping someone could help me with this.
Btw-Adam Earhart had a daughter named Sarah, she is my grgrgr grandmother.
Thanks much!
