The Earhart Family Reunion will be held Sunday, June 13, at Black Oak Baptist Church fellowship hall six miles south of Como, TX on FM 69 starting at 10 AM. Please bring a picnic lunch and cold drinks for your family. There is no charge for the reunion. Donations will be accepted at the door to pay for the use of the fellowship hall. Please bring family history information, pictures, and any antique items you can. This reunion is for the descendants of Godfrey and Mary POlly Ann Walton Earhart who came to Texas from Alabama in 1856 with all their family. They homesteaded land and we had the land patent proving that they homesteaded land in Hopkins County. The US census show them in Hopkins county. Godfrey and his son Warren, were community school teachers. The cabin Godfrey built after he came here in 1856 has been moved and restored to the Hopkins county Historical Park at Sulphur Springs TX.
