Since my original post, I have learned the parents of Lucinda were John S. EARHART and Elizabeth WILLIAMS. John was born about 1824 in Virginia and was not found on the 1870 census so presume he had died by then, possibly in the Civil War since he served in the 8th Battalion, Missouri Infantry (Confederate). Elizabeth was also born about 1824 in Virginia. They married on 29 June 1848 and appeared on the 1850 Census in Wythe Co., Virginia with Lucinda, a 2 year old. In 1860, they were enumerated in Mingo Twp., Bates Co., Missouri with Lucinda (age 11), Amanda (age 9), Alexander (age 5) and David (age 1). In 1870, Elizabeth was a widow with Alexander, David and John (age 8). On the 1880 census, Elizabeth was enumerated as Elizabeth Godwin, a widow, with her sons David and John as well as Piper Earhart, a boarder.

I would love to exchange information with anyone concerning this family.
