Hi Kathy;
Well, I hope you have found out more than I am going to give you by now but maybe this will help...
Rebecca Jane UMPHREYS (sometimes listed as HUMPHREYS, 1st is believed to be correct though) married Wade J. EARHART b: __ d: abt 1847. The marriage was on 21 Sep 1841 in Davidson Co. TN. (that is the Nashville area) and they had Wade Hamilton EARHART abt 1843-1845. There may have been a J. (poss. John) EARHART too but I can't find evidence for one except he is living near her on the 1880 US Census.
Rebecca then remarried to Samuel David BROWN in 1848. He died prior to 1854. Martha married a 3rd time to William C. PULLEY (widower of Sarah BRAGG) in Jan. 1854 in Nashville, Davidson Co., TN. and she had two known children by him: Rebecca Jane PULLEY who married 1874 to Wilson Hurt BROWN (my GrGrandmother) and Rueben Arron PULLEY who married 1883 to Elizabeth "Betty" HAGAR / HAGER both in TN.
I am not sure if there were anymore EARHART of BROWN children for Rebecca. Hampton could have been Hamilton or a different child. I haven't found what you have listed yet but I will look.
Have a blessed day and happy huntin...
