It may be that you are actually searching for the man named Samuel EARLE, IV who was born: 20 January 1760 at Town Run Plantation, Fauquier County, Virginia, who was the 2nd son to be named Samuel EARLE, IV of his father, (Major) Samuel EARLE, III, born: abt. 1692 in Westmoreland Co., VA, died: 1771, and his 2nd wife: Elizabeth HOLBROOK/HOLDBROOK(E,) born: abt. 1733 in Prince William County, Virginia, who was approximately 41 years younger than her husband who had 1st married Anna SORRELL and they were the parents of the 1st son named Samuel EARLE, IV who was born in or abt. 1727 and died in or abt. 1752 and married a Miss ? PERKINS. (Major) Samuel EARLE was the son of Phillis BENNETT, (daughter of John BENNETT and his 1st wife, ??, who married as his 2nd wife: Mrs. Mattilda ALLERTON (EARLE) (RUST,) widow of 1st husband, Samuel EARLE, I who married Bridget HALE(S,) (thought to be the daughter of Thomas HALE(S)/ HAILLES/HAYLES,) as his 1st wife and then after the death of Bridget HALE(S) Samuel EARLE, I married Mattilda ALLERTON as her 1st husband and she was his 2nd wife and after the death of Samuel EARLE, Mrs. Mattilda ALLERTON (EARLE) married William RUST and after the death of William RUST Mrs. Mattilda ALLERTON (EARLE) (RUST) married John BENNETT. I am not sure but I believe that there is a possiblity that Mattilda was the natural mother of Phillis BENNETT but we she was at least her stepmother in addition to being the stepmother of Phillis's husband, Samuel EARLE, II, son of Samuel EARLE, I and his 1st wife, Bridget HALE(S)and Samuel EARLE, I was the son of immigrants, (Sir) John EARLE and 1st wife, Mary SYMONS/SYMONDS, and his 2nd wife was a woman named Mrs. Elizabeth ?/CAUSEY CAUSEY? HOWELL whose maiden name was CAUSEY or her 1st husband's name was CAUSEY and then she married a 2nd husband named HOWELL and then she married her 3rd husband, (Sir) John EARLE in 1660 after the death of his 1st wife, Mary SYMONS, in 1659, and after (Sir) John EARLE died a few months after their marriage in 1660, Mrs. Elizabeth ?/CAUSEY? (CAUSEY?) (HOWELL) (EARLE) married William CLEMENT. It was only a short time after their marriage that Mary EARLE, daughter of (Sir) John EARLE and Mary SYMONS petitioned the court to rescind the guardianship of Elizabeth and her new husband and was placed under the guardianship of her attorney who was married at the time and after his wife died he married Mary SYMONS and they returned to England, where Mary was born, to live. I can't remember the name of the attorney that became Mary's guardian that she later married but I have it in files elsewhere.
