I am looking for information on my great grand-father Edward Earles known by the nickname Ned. He was in the WWI and had a medical pension due to shrapnel in the head and knees. He was in the Blue Puttees. He died April 2, 1949 at the age of 55. He died the day after Newfoundland joined confederation. Not sure if he was born in Newfoundland. His mothers name was Pauline Patricia Earles--hence my first and middle names. Do not know her maiden name. His wife was Lillian May Moore born in Clark's Beach. She died in St. Johns age 79, in about 1978? in St. Claires Hospital? They had 6 children, all girls,1.Margaret Mary born Oct. 28 1926? deceased 2.Teresita born Sept 1927 still living 3.Kathleen Francis 1928 deceased 4.Lillian Patricia born Oct 30 1930 living 5. Doris born Sept 1935? still living 6. Barbara living All grew up at Top Battery Road
