Hi Becky, your William was Thomasine's brother? Son of Mary Berry, and founder of Princeton, KY?

First, John Prince Esq was NOT descended from Edward! That line was given in an early book (Bodie?). In the 1970's an old Va will book showed up - Yankees stole it? - and in it was the Rev John Prince's will, naming his children with the widow Margaret Prou Rymer - John and Thomasine.

Ron Prince on the Prince forum and on RootsWeb Prince-L (he knows more about all Prince lines than anyone) says The Rev John Prince's parents were John Prince and Thomasine Berrey (sp).

I grew up in Spartanburg, SC, not far from Fort Prince.
