Easter before 1900

Looking for ancestors of following family, with tendency to make the middle name of the father the first name of the eldest son. Phillip Michael (my son) Dennis Phillip, James Dennis, Carol James. I am assuming the next male back would be (first name), Carol (middle name) if the pattern continues. All males live or did live in Missouri, USA. I have no guidance for any other area past the great-grandfather although one of the surname search companies claims Germany may be origin point. (My son got blindsided by this one, although the plaque explaining the origin of the surname and fake sword is a nice touch :S, it was a Christmas present so I can't complain too much lol). Would appreciate any information which might connect me to ancestors past the 4th generation back which I have listed.
