This is info I have on Conrad Spiess. (I have gotten this info from a gentleman in northern CA)
Conradt Spiess b: abt 1700 Hamburg,Hessen,Germany d: 1764 Frederick Co., MD he married 1721 abt in Germany to Susanna Barbara Heuss. Susanna Barbara b: 11 May 1702 Hamburg,Vonder Hoehn, Germany d: 30 Sep 1749 Philadelphia,Philadelphia,PA. Her parents are: Johann Daniel Heuss and Catherine Elizabeth. I don't have parents for Conradt. Their children are as follows:
Johanna Margaretha Spiess b: 25 Sep 1722 Hamburg, Hessen,Germany. Died at sea (Atlantic Ocean) 1749 on board "Ship Isaac"
Maria Elisabethe Spiess b: 20 Sep 1724 Hamburg, Hessen,Germany d: 25 Mar 1802 Hamburg,Hessen,Germany buried: 27 Mar 1802.
Johann Ludwig Georg Spiess b: 18 Dec 1726 Hamburg, Hessen, Germany d: abt 1783 in York Co., PA He married Anna Maria Margaretha WAGNER abt 1749 in Ehenden-Schantz, Netherlands.
Johann Henrich Spiess b: 14 Apr 1729 Hamburg, Hessen, Germany d: 1749 at sea (Atlantic Ocean) on board "Ship Isaac".
Julianna Johanna Francisca Spiess(my line) b: 17 Jun 1732 Hamburg, Hessen, Germany Christened: 22 Jun 1732 same place, d: 4 Sep 1804 Frederick,Frederick,MD She married Christian Ostertag (Easterday) in Christ's Lutheran Church in York,York,PA on 22 Jan 1750.
Johann Friedrich Spiess b: 25 Sep 1725 Hamburg, Hessen, Germany. d: at sea (atlantic Ocean) 1749 on board "Ship Isaac".
Phillippina Carolina Spiess b: 6 Nov 1741 Hamburg, Hessen, Germany. She married Melchoir Tabler 8 Apr 1779 in Frederick Co., Md. (Ihave all documentation. E-mail me at and I can send it over to you.) I have more info on Easterday family as well. The Searcy line is one of the lines I have not completed. Would like to share info. There was a lady working in the Searcy line at the library a while ago.
