Dear Uwe, Our surname was spelled Ostertag in Germany but when our ancester came to America mid 1800's the spelling was changed to Esterday. My gr.grandfather was Joseph Esterday and he married Barbara Pohl and lived in Mendota, IL. Do you know of any connection with the Esterday/Ostertag surname. We've been trying to find Joseph's ancestor's for many years to no avail. Anything you could tell me would be greatly appreciated. Pat Esterday
