Hello to both of you; my grandmother was a Westlake, but I just remembered my mother telling me when I was young that there were also Eastlakes in the family. My grandmother's father was an engineer- Wm John Alexander Madeford Bennett Westlake;he was born in England, came to Canada first with his mother Mary Sargent and father Walter Westlake; a sibling was George Henry Westlake, a wellknown photographer in Ontario, according to his great granddaughter; and his son A.G. was also a photographer. My great grandfather Wm John was a civil engineer and built bridges, in Nevada (U.S.); my mother, his granddaughet, and her sister were artist, and so is my sister. Interesting.
